 Before we continue, they have me read this “mandatory read off letter” to you. It will help you understand the next part a bit better (Share Screen/Read-Off Letter). I will summarize it for you. (Be very clear and slow down) 

• All the benefits that we recommend don’t compete with any other coverage. 
• They work in conjunction with all other benefits you may have.  
• These are permanent and portable so will stay with you long after your working years, unlike the coverage you have through work. 
• They are under your own independent control. 

As I go through the benefits, and you’re thinking how these benefits make sense for you,  (visibly nod your head), then they want you to go ahead and apply for them.  

Alternatively, if I’m going through everything and you’re thinking to yourself, “I like the sounds of these, but they don’t fill a need for me and my family right now,” then they’re actually going to ask you not to apply.  

Either way we’ll decide, yes or no, together today in fairness to all the other families waiting to be seen.  

The good thing about these benefits is that they are pretty much a no-brainer, so you’ll know one way or the other.
